6 – 7 hours guided; the ultimate day trip–so close, but yet, so far–explore the amazing gulf islands by sea and land
This tour is suitable for intermediate and advanced paddlers, as it involves more time spent paddling before and after our lunch break. Good physical fitness and previous paddling experience is recommended.
Usual meeting time for the full day tour is 9:00 AM at our kayak dock.
Again, our philosophy is not to break speed records, but rather to get you out into nature, paddling on the sparkling sea, and seeing for yourself the fabulous marine habitat home to mammals, birds, shore life, ocean flora, and the interesting geological formations that exist where land meets the sea. Our day includes a similar itinerary as the half day tour; however, we take you to more remote islands and beaches. Your guide will choose the most suitable destination that day depending on wind conditions and current directions. There are many beautiful islands and beaches to visit, and each has their unique visual experience to offer, such as the amazing rock bluffs on Hood and Coal Islands or various islands with small or large white sandy beaches, which undoubtedly may temp you say good-bye to civilization forever! We stop for a good lunch break for some relaxation and exploration. Please bring your own lunch and a bottle of water.
