Getting Prepared For Your Course

All kayaks and safety equipment are provided. However, there are some personal items you will need to bring. Please see the gear list below for your particular course.

Got your own kayak? Of course you may use your own kayak. However, as our lesson prices are very competitive, we do not provide a discount when personal equipment is used.

Creating Possibilities for Myself

Gear List Kayaking Basics / Intermediate Kayaking / Advanced Strokes

  • Sandals with straps (not flip-flops) or neoprene booties
  • Wear NON-COTTON clothing
  • Spare change of NON-COTTON clothes
  • Wool socks
  • Towel (more than one okay)
  • Snack
  • Water bottle
  • A “Can-Do” attitude!
  • Wetsuit, paddle jacket, or dry suit optional

Gear List Self-Rescues / Assisted Rescues

  • Sandals with straps (not flip-flops) or neoprene booties
  • Wear NON-COTTON clothing
  • Spare change of NON-COTTON clothing
  • Wool socks
  • Toque
  • Towels (more than one)
  • Snack
  • Water bottle
  • A “Can-Do” attitude!
  • Wetsuit, paddle jacket, or dry suit strongly recommended. Without protection you may get cold.
