When paddling with a group, the most common re-entry used in a capsize situation is an assisted rescue. You will learn several methods of carrying out an assisted rescue, as well as how to re-enter your kayak with assistance from another paddler. Your instructor will demonstrate and you will obtain practical skills development by being both rescuer and rescuee. Instructor will discuss which method may be best given the circumstances surrounding the capsize.
