A Paddle in the Park Kayaking has made an alliance with an experienced hiking guide and company, Daytrip Drea. Drea Gibson has been leading guided hiking tours on Vancouver Island since 2007. She specializes in hiking tours of Vancouver Island’s southern and west coast. Our combined kayaking and hiking tours will show off some of Vancouver Island’s finest scenery in a short period of time.
Two Day Adven-Tour: One full day on a guided hiking tour of southern Vancouver Island’s west coast, and one full day on a guided kayaking tour in the gulf islands.
Transportation
Transportation to Sidney (kayaking) and Sooke (hiking), generally, you provide and arrange. However, courtesy transportation may be available by special arrangement with us. Please discuss with us at the time of booking if you require transportation.

You arrange your accommodation — you may visit our links page for our suggestions. For those who wish to stay in Sidney, the lovely Miraloma Resort is located a few steps from the kayak dock.

Cancellation Policy for Adven-Tours
No penalty for canceling a tour if cancellation occurs at least 48 hours prior to the date of the tour.
If cancellation occurs within 48 hours of the date of the tour, 50% of the tour shall be due and owing and charged to the credit card provided at the time of booking unless other arrangements are made for payment of the cancellation fee. The cancellation fee only applies to Adven-Tour and Explore More tours, and does not apply to regular kayaking guided tours (no cancellation penalty).

Meals
Kayaking: Please bring your own lunch and bottle of water. You may wish to visit one of the restaurants located by our kayak dock – the Dockside Grill, Miraloma Resort, or Blue Peter Pub. The town of Sidney has good deli bars for takeout food at Safeway and Thriftys and many good eateries on or near Beacon Avenue.
Hiking: Lunch provided. Please let us know of any food allergies you may have at the time of booking your tour.
