Driving from Victoria

  • Take Blanshard Street out of town. You will be heading to town of Sidney & towards Swartz Bay ferry to Vancouver
  • Blanshard becomes Highway 17 “Patricia Bay Highway”
  • Drive 25 minutes
  • Exit 28 to town centre Sidney
  • Turn left at second traffic light Resthaven Road
  • Drive 1.5 km
  • Turn right on Harbour Road (dead-end)
  • Drive 0.25 km to Van Isle Marina
  • Park in small parking lot by Dock E
  • Washrooms located at top of Dock E (now’s a good time)
  • Walk down Dock E, you will see kayaks

Driving from Vancouver Via Victoria [Tsawwassen - Swartz Bay]

  • Highway 17 Patricia Bay Highway South towards Victoria
  • Drive 5 minutes
  • Turn left on Beacon Avenue to Sidney
  • Turn left at second traffic light Resthaven Road
  • Drive 1.5 km
  • Turn right on Harbour Road (dead-end)
  • Drive 0.25 km to Van Isle Marina
  • Park in small parking lot by Dock E
  • Washrooms located at top of Dock E (now’s a good time)
  • Walk down Dock E, you will see kayaks

Driving from Vancouver via Nanaimo  [Horseshoe Bay - Departure Bay]

  • Highway 1 (Trans Canada) South to Victoria (1.5 hour drive)
  • Turn left on McKenzie Avenue, drive 2 km
  • After underpass, right lane to Exit North onto Highway 17 “Patricia Bay Highway” (to Sidney and towards Swartz Bay ferry to Vancouver)
  • Drive 20 minutes
  • Exit 28 to town centre Sidney
  • Turn left at second traffic light Resthaven Road
  • Drive 1.5 km
  • Turn right on Harbour Road (dead-end)
  • Drive 0.25 km to Van Isle Marina
